When deciding between lighting options, it can feel like you are in a room of strangers.
It all makes sense - sort of - reading the boxes. So you buy something and take it home. And - too often - it turns out to be not quite what you wanted.
Too bright, too dim, too strange, too...something.
It's not your fault.
A whole host of technologies and designs
are used in the creation of the newest energy efficient
bulbs. And although all are meant to replicate closely the bulbs they replace, not all efforts meet the challenge. And unfortunately, sometimes advertising and marketing efforts (including what is printed on the box) just muddy the waters.
Often, the information you need to decide whether a bulb or fixture will work for you is not printed on the box. Sometimes you need to dig a little deeper.
